Measurement of Symmetrical Rotation Tools
Very accurate Measurement of round tools or workpieces
There are some different ways for producing high precision round parts and tools in the field. Many of them are produced with wire cutting. But after the production, these parts have to be measured very accurately also.
The Challenge
During the production of symmetrical rotation parts, the workpiece has to rotate with definite speed. Modern machine tools can produce these round workpieces with rotary tables or rotation spindles, which have very accurate bearings and gears. The same accuracy is also required in the measurment of these parts.

The Solution
The best way is to use the same technology in the measurement as used in the production of these parts. The CMM machine from Mahr OKM (a member of the Zeiss Group) is equipped with a high precision JS Rotary Table. With this equipment, Mahr OKM users are able to measure round parts very accurately. The JS rotary table enables the CMM to deliver the best performance in run-out and indexing measurement.
